Where is my budget data stored?

On your device, with platform-private sync: iCloud on Apple and optional Google Drive app data on the coming-soon Android edition.

Alfie has separate storage paths for its Apple and Android editions. Neither edition sends your financial data to an Alfie account or server.

  • Apple edition: data is stored on device and uses private iCloud across iPhone, iPad, Mac.
  • Android edition (coming soon): local-only use remains available. Optional Android-only sync uses Google Drive appDataFolder.

Android receipt images stay local and are not synchronized; confirmed extracted fields and their ledger records may use the optional Android sync path. Apple data does not sync to Android, and Android data does not sync to Apple. Apex Radius operates no server that holds your finances.

There is no account

Alfie has no sign-up, no email address and no password. You do not create an account because there is nothing to create one against. This also means there is no credential of yours that can be stolen from us.

What we don't collect

  • No bank logins, and no bank connection at all.
  • No ad identifiers and no third-party analytics.
  • No AI service reading your entries.

Getting your data out, and getting rid of it

Export to CSV whenever you want — it is your data and it should be portable. Use the confirmed deletion controls for the edition you use. Export anything you need first because deleted local data may not be recoverable, and separately manage any private cloud copy through that platform.
